Paint chip repair service is a complicated process to teach and learn as witnessed by the length of time required to train using the competitor's technology. These "nightmare" systems have to utilize the paint codes hidden on vehicles in one of many locations, depending on the make and model. In the field, the operator has to first find the used car manager to get the key to the vehicle to unlock the vehicle (wasted time) to then locate the paint code (wasted time). Once located, they have to look up the code on one of 25+ microfiche films and scour through thousands of formulas (wasted time). Then calculate the proper amounts of toners to mix (very slow, wasted time) adjust the electronic scales (frustrating, wasted time) and begin the mixing process (wasted time). All this in order to just begin the paint mixing process! Once mixed (which can take from 15 minutes to 30 minutes itself....wasted time), they then can begin the actual work of repairing the paint chip or scratch. As mentioned, this was a huge waste of time, energy and space. And the training time that is required is in-itself a waste of time. The "nightmare" method offered by the competition is slow, cumbersome and antiquated compared to IMAC revolutionary and proven method. Furthermore, once a person learns the "nightmare" process, the person is hard pressed to train anyone else...so only one person can do the work.
